Hi All,
More slalom today, great snow, great weather, great all round conditions. All the trainees are really starting to find their feet now - and becuase we have had three great days of slalom training the confidence in their own abilities is really starting to show!!
In fact I noticed today when I was standing at the top of our course when some of our more experianced traniees skied through the course some of the French World Cup Squad skiers coming up the tow a couple feet away turned their heads to follow our skiers down to the end of their training runs - I can honestly tell you that its really quite somthing to get these guys attention!!
We had two courses today - again on the very best part of the hill, this time down to Ali's 8am coach sprinting skills at 4,000 meters (a younger model of course!!) And again we were the very very last group off the hill as we have been every day this week!! If you are from Scotland then you know that every penny is a prisoner and we are deff getting our money's worth from our lift ticket!!
Away from the skiing my group did a hike for our fitness session, we set out for a Tignes land mark called the eye of the needle to see how close we could get to it (it's 2700 meters) and we got pritty close which was fab because we only had 2 hrs to get up & down and back to the hotel - the group are now determined to get to it later in the week weather permitting - watch this space for photos as proof of the succesful assent!!
The rest of the group went swimming, usual stuff going on as in underwater handstands and improvised diving techniques etc etc (Tom Daley eat your heart out)
Meat Balls and pasta for dinner!!
Tommorw last day slalom , but we have a weather front coming in which could mean poor viz and lots of new snow - if the wind does not blow too much it should be ok!!
PS: Looking forward to a bit of cloud cover as don't think our faces can't take any more sun lol!!
Andrew
