After surviving four days of glorious sunshine, we were back to experiencing the skiing conditions we prefer in Scotland.  With bitterly cold temperatures and a wind which whipped the snow into a frenzy and made us feel like our faces had had a close encounter with a belt sander we felt right at home!

Despite the weather conditions we still managed to get a day of training slalom on the snowpark.  Andy, Lynn and myself were feeling very pleased with ourselves this morning after securing our spot next to the cable car doors.  This spot had allowed us to be first out for the daily sprint for lanes.  Imagine our disappointment when the lifty (obviously not a fan of the Scots!) only opened the door at the opposite side of the cable car to let the french coaches out first!

Even with this minor setback we still managed to secure prime spot on the piste.  The kids had an amazing morning through the first course before the kids had a hot chocolate (and cold chocolate of the solid kind) break whilst the coaches reset.

Refreshed and raring to go, the kids arrived back at the start of the new course to put down a number of great runs. As the weather worsened our racers still managed to turn french heads on the tow as they sped past with ever increasing skill.

My group seem to be turning into budding ski technicians as we had yet another productive servicing session this afternoon.  In true rugby world cup style, using a mini rugby ball and an empty sprite bottle as a tee, we had a try conversion competition which I duly won!

Andy's guys (and gals) had some technical and tactical video feedback before comparing themselves to some of the world's best skiers (past and present).  Ps, Mark Vinter even made an appearance!

Having not had enough of the mountain conditions, Lynn's group were keen to dive around in the snow (which was now starting to lie on the pitch across from the hotel) and played ultimate frisbee as well as having a stretching session in one of the hotel's sana's.

With our slalom skis travel waxed for the journey home, we are looking forward to 3 days of quality GS training.  We may even have to turn into GS powder hounds tomorrow!
